being in the ib program has kind of usurped the essence of me. i thought that the ib art class would give me that needed release. i thought wrong, obviously. i have never been so frustrated with a course in my whole life, and it stems mostly from the fact that the teacher is absolutely useless. yes, this class is pretty much self-study, but a teacher should be able to teach you about certain techiniques that you do not know. that's the whole point of a CLASS. it certainly does not make me feel any better when she hovers behind my back, and tells me that it is good, but i need to change this, this, this, this, oh, and this. soon enough, it adds up to rehauling the whole damn thing. to salt the wound, others who have less talent than me (and no, i'm not being arrogant, it is the truth) get higher marks on their projects, something i do not understand. and there is added stress because of the inclusion of a "research workbook", and due dates of twenty pages every two weeks. i'm sorry, my brain does not work like that.
alas, i have decided to drop the class at the end of semester, so i don't pollute my senior year. call me a quitter, but i simply don't feel i have gotten anything out of the class but unnecessary stress. i will still take art classes (digital photo 1+2), but here's the grand old middle finger to that class. :]
